New Award Pay Rates: SCHADS 2024

SCHADS Award rates to increase by 3.75% from 1 July 2024.

We have secured an Award Wage increase of 3.75% in the Fair Work Commission's Annual Wage Review.

This 3.75% increase applies to all workers on the SCHADS Award from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2024.

How much more will I be paid?

For full time community and disability workers, you'll be at least $45.60 better off per week.

If you’re paid on Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award it’s time to check your pay slip to make sure you’ve been given your next union won pay rise.

From 1st July:

  • For a level 2.1 disability support worker, this will mean an extra $45.60 per week on the minimum weekly permanent wage.
  • For a level 3.1 youth worker, this will mean an extra $51.30 per week on the minimum weekly permanent wage. 
  • For a level 4.1 child and family case worker, this will mean an extra $59.28 per week on the minimum weekly permanent wage. 

Full time workers will be at least $45.60 per week better off

Part time workers will get at least $1.20 more per hour

Casuals will get at least $1.50 more per hour
